The total approximate diamond weight is 1.73 carats, to an elegant openwork cluster with a symmetrical scalloped frame, curving claws, intricately pierced open gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by raised tri-part scrolling shoulders which lead to a solid ridged shank. Tested yellow gold with silver settings, circa 1890.
