 Description

Pink Burmese sapphire and diamond ring. Set to centre with one oval old cut natural unenhanced pink Burmese sapphire in an open back grain setting with an approximate weight of 2.26 carats, encircled by a single row of fourteen cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with an approximate total weight of 1.20 carats, to an elegant elongated coronet cluster design with curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery, and fancy open backholing, flanked by tri-split scrolling shoulders which terminate in rhombus shape metalwork detail before flowing through to a solid flat shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1900, accompanied by Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) report #131306.
