Fancy Yellow diamond flanked solitaire. Set to center with one cushion shape old mine fancy yellow diamond in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.70 carats, flanked by ten rectangular step cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 1.10 carats, further adorned by twenty-round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.75 carats. The total combined approximate diamond weight is 2.55 carats, to an impressive cluster design featuring polished edges, a linear pierced gallery, and fancy shape open backholing, leading to smooth shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, French import mark, circa 1950.

This mark was first introduced introduced in France in 1913 and discontinued in 1926, making it a rare hallmark for a piece of antique jewellery to contain.
