The total combined approximate diamond weight is 5.10 carats to an elegant cluster design featuring polished edges, enamelled leaves and stylised claws leading to an intricately pierced and fancy scalloped backholing, leading to split linear and flowing through to a split openwork flat . yellow , 1905.

Director's Notes

The Art Nouveau movement marked a departure from traditional jewellery design, drawing inspiration from the beauty of the natural world and the graceful curves of the human form. Dragonflies, flowers, vines and elegant female figures became defining motifs, brought to life through masterful craftsmanship, luminous enamels and gemstones such as natural pearls, moonstones, opals, sapphires and diamonds.

This piece in particular features remarkable plique-a-jour ennameling and is reminiscent of Spanish jeweller's Masriera's work. Masriera was the most prominent jeweller in Spain during the Art Nouveau era, known there as Modernisme.
