Burmese sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphire in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 4.51 carats, flanked by two vertically set baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.18 carats, and framed to top and bottom with two rows of round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings, ten in total with a combined weight of 0.80 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.98 carats, to an elegant cluster design featuring polished edges, an ornate openwork gallery with scrolling motif and intricately pierced open backholing, leading to gently sloping shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, circa 1920, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5774-310, SSEF report #137018.
