Art Deco emerald-cut diamond ring. Set with an octagonal emerald-cut diamond, G colour, VS1 clarity, with a weight of 1.08 carats, in an open back claw setting, further set with twelve round eight-cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.12 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.20 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design, featuring curving corner claws, an ornate pierced gallery with scrolling motifs and fancy open backholing, the broad trumpeting shoulders with millegrain detail flow through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, English, circa 1935, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #5231507715.

This ring is in good condition.
A classic cut with a subtle beauty and elegance, emerald-cut diamonds display less fire than round old cut diamonds but tend to have more dramatic flashes of light. This cut is reserved for stones of a very high quality and value, as low clarity and colour appear far more noticeable to the eye.

Art Deco Colombian emerald and diamond ring. Set to centre with an oval cabochon natural Colombian emerald in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 2.00 carats, flanked by ten rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.70 carats, further set with sixteen round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.35 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.05 carats, to an impressive flanked solitaire design featuring polished edges, a geometrically pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to smooth shoulders and flowing through to a solid shank. Tested platinum, French import marks, circa 1925, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #81280-33.
