Art Deco diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.83 carats, flanked by six horizontally set rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.30 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.13 carats, to a stepped symmetrical form featuring millegrain decoration throughout, an intricately pierced gallery with scrollwork details and open backholing, the raised shoulders flowing down to a solid D-shape tapering shank. Tested platinum, numbered '0.83', circa 1930.

The old cut diamond seen to centre offers a dazzling scintillation, which is framed by the linear flashes of light produced by the baguette diamonds on the shoulders.
