Set with a round old cut diamond in an open backclaw setting, O-P colour, VS2 clarity, with a weight of 4.71 carats, to an impressive solitaire design featuring curving claws, a decorative gallery with fleur de lis motifs and circular open backholing, leading to inwardly tapering shoulders with ridged detail that flow through to a solid D-shapeshank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #2241059520.
