 Description

Purple Ceylon sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set centrally with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced purple Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with a weight of 2.85 carats, further set with sixteen cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.65 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, leading to raised shoulders and flowing through to a solid chamfered shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5784-1057.
