Edwardian sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back grain setting with an approximate weight of 0.50 carats, encircled by twelve round eight cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.24 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring scalloped borders, an intricately pierced gallery and circular open backholing, the inwardly tapering shoulders flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, circa 1905.
