 Description

Burmese ruby and diamond cocktail ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.50 carats, further set either side with four round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings, eight in total with an approximate combined weight of 0.80 carats, to a geometric cocktail ring featuring curved corner claws, an undulating bezel with ridged detailing and fancy open backholing, flanked by geometric broad shoulders tapering down to a solid flat shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, indistinct maker's mark, French, circa 1940, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5776-5192.
