Diamond and ruby ring. Centrally set with a round old cut diamond in an open backrubover setting with a weight of 0.70 carats, flanked by a row of graduated round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.35 carats, further flanked by six channel set tapered calibre cut natural unenhanced rubies in open back rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.80 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.05 carats, to a scrolling cross over form with curved bezels and stepped platinum tapered shoulders, with intricate pierced backholing, flowing down to a solid flat shank. Tested platinum, circa 1940.
