Art Deco diamond solitaire ring. Centrally set with a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.55 carats, flanked by four round eight cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.12 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.67 carats, to an elegant solitaire design featuring corner claws, a pierced openwork gallery with ridged detail and open backholing, the raised shoulders tapering to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum and ruthenium, American, circa 1935.
