Description

Belle Époque sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.70 carats, encircled by ten cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 2.50 carats, to an elegant oval coronet cluster design featuring stylised claws, an intricately pierced gallery with scalloped detail and fancy open backholing, flanked by trumpeting split shoulders flowing through to a slim solid shank. Marked platinum, indistinct makers mark, French, circa 1910, accompanied by a Gemmological Certification Services report #79220-40.
