Description

Belle Epoque natural pearl and diamond ring. Set to top with a drop shape natural saltwater pearl, approximately 7.4 x 6.1 x 5.2mm in a closed back setting, decorated with three round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.45 carats, further enhanced with eleven round rose cut diamonds in open back rubover and grain settings with a combined weight of 0.15 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.60 carats, to an intricate trefoil cluster with curving pierced claws, shaped backholing and carved shell detail to the interior, the inwardly tapering shoulders curve to a ribbed solid shank. Marked 18 carat gold with platinum settings, indistinct maker's mark, French, circa 1900, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5776-6913.
