Set to centre with one cushion shape old mine diamond in an open backgrain setting with an approximate weight of 0.95 carats, encircled by twelve cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combined weight of 1.40 carats, flanked by two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw and rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.60 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.95 carats to an impressive marquise shape cluster design featuring polished edges and granulated detail, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, the decoratively engraved split shoulders flow through to a solid champfered shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, French, circa 1895.
