Centrally set with a cushion shape old cutnatural unenhanced sapphire in an open backclaw setting with an approximate weight of 0.30 carats, flanked by two round old cut natural unenhanced sapphires in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.60 carats, encircled by a single row of fourteen round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.00 carats. The total approximate sapphire weight is 0.90 carats, to an oval cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced scalloped gallery and fancy shape open backholing, flanked by ridged trumpeting shoulders, flowing down to a solid lightly rounded shank. Tested yellow gold with platinum settings, circa 1910.
