Antique sapphire and diamond three stone cross over ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.85 carats, further set to top and bottom with two round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.00 carats, flanked by ten round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.10 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.10 carats, to an elegant crossover form with curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, the curving shoulders flowing down to a solid ridged shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1905.
