Georgian hair, diamond and pearl mourning ring. Set with twenty eight round rose cut diamonds in closed back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.14 carats, further set with a row of thirty natural pearls in closed back grain settings, to an octagonal mourning ring featuring a central octagonal plaque depicting a wheatsheaf design made of hair with painted details, a plaited hair border, all encased in an octagonal glass compartment with closed backholing, flanked by angled trumpeting shoulders flowing down to a solid tapering shank. Marked rose gold and silver, indistinct maker's mark, french import marks, circa 1770.
