in a
closed back
half drilled setting, approximately 5.5 x 5.6 x 4.5mm in size, further decorated with eight
calibré
cut natural
emeralds
in open in
open back
rubover
settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.20
carats
, further set with sixteen round
eight cut
diamonds
in open back
grain
settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.16 carats, flanked further with two round
old cut
diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.06 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.22 carats, to an impressive
cluster
design featuring intricate openwork with
millegrain
edging, a decoratively pierced
gallery
and fancy shape open backholing, leading to asymmetric openwork
shoulders
with a foliate motif, and flowing through to a solid
D-shape
shank
.

Edwardian three row diamond ring. Set with three horizontal rows of five round old cut diamonds in open back claw and rubover settings, all fifteen with a combined weight of 1.50 carats, further set with two rows of four round eight cut diamonds, all eight in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.08 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.58 carats. The rectangular form has open backholing with a pierced finger gallery to spilt tri-part motif shoulders and a solid tapered shank. Tested platinum, circa 1905.
