This diamond has been assessed by our in-house gemmologists as being approximately I colour, VS clarity, settings permitting.
Illusion settings, such as the one featured in this ring, are a particularly clever design and can be seen throughout French jewellery from the first few decades of the twentieth century. Typically crafted in white metal, they act to give the diamond an additional dimension across the finger and often feature intricate details on their galleries. Whilst no hallmarks are seen on this ring, based on the style it is likely French in origin.
