Diamond drop earrings. A matching pair of earrings, each set to bottom with a round old cut diamond in an open back grain setting, two in total with a combined approximate weight of 1.60 carats, set above with another round old cut diamond in an open back rubover setting, two in total with a combined weight of 0.70 carats, further decorated to the bottom panel with seventeen round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings, thirty-four in total with a combined weight of 1.85 carats, and two round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings, four in total with a combined weight of 0.15 carats, all suspended from an articulated row of six round old cut diamonds in open back rubover settings, twelve in total with a combined weight of 1.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 5.50 carats, to an ornate pair of drop earrings with a peacock feather motif featuring intricate openwork with millegrain eging, a pierced gallery with chenier detail and fancy shape open backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure post and scrollback. Settings tested platinum, butterflies tested white gold, circa 1920, accompanied by antique box.
