Description

Victorian ruby and diamond cluster ring. Horizontally set with three oval old cut natural unenhanced Siam rubies in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.50 carats, encircled by twenty two round mixed old cut diamonds in open back grain and cut-down settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.45 carats, to an elegant triple cluster design featuring polished edges, an intricately pierced scalloped gallery and fancy open backholing, leading to inwardly tapering shoulders which taper through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, tested silver settings, circa 1880, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-1155.
