Set with one central oval cabochon garnet in a rubover setting, to an embellished signet design featuring a shaped bezel, geometric motifs, leading to raised angular shoulders with a scrolling pattern and flowing through to a solid shank. Tested yellow gold, approximately 16.83g in weight, circa 3rd century AD.
This is a museum quality ring, and a very skilful example of Ancient Roman craftsmanship and is in fine condition, commensurate with its age.
