 Description

S. Blanckensee & Son ltd ruby and diamond carved ring. Set with three cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced siam rubies in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.60 carats, further set with four cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.08 carats, all to a graduating three stone design featuring curving claws, a ridged gallery and open backholing, leading to trumpeting shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, maker's mark 'S.B & S LD' for S. Blanckensee & Son ltd, full hallmarks for Birmingham, English, circa 1870, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-715.
