Roman Celtic God Toutatis amuletic silver ring. Engraved horizontally to the centre with an oval ropework border encompassing the letters 'TOT' abbreviated from the Celtic god Toutatis, flanked by broad integrated shoulders which flow through to a tapering D-shape shank. Tested silver, approximately 6.50g in weight, circa 2nd-4th century AD.

Accompanied by documentation stating that this piece was found in the East Midlands, in Lincolnshire. It is recorded under the Portable Antiquities Scheme under reference LIN-B34626, Treasure Act 2009 T742.

The Celtic god Toutatis was worshipped in ancient Gaul and Britain, and was associated with the Roman gods Mars and Mercury. A number of Romano-British 'TOT' rings have been found in the East Midlands, notably in Lincolnshire which was the centre of the worship of this god.
