Plojoux diamond enamel portrait pendant/brooch. Set throughout the brooch with sixteen round mixed old cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a total approximate weight of 0.20 carats, to a circular enameled brooch, featuring an extremely fine example of enamel portrait work, an engine turned background with various gold inlay details in an Egyptian theme including a tiara, earrings, a necklace and a raised scarab beetle motif, with open backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure hinge pin and to top a retractable oval bale, approximately 2.8cm in diameter. Tested yellow gold, numbered 38599, signed 'Plojoux Geneve' for Plojoux, Swiss, circa 1915.
