Medieval sapphire fede ring. Centrally set with one oval cabochon natural sapphire in a closed back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 3.00 carats, to a smooth oval bezel leading to a solid rounded shank featuring an intricately engraved crossover design with traces of white enamel intact and terminating at reverse with carved clasping hands. Tested yellow gold, approximately 10g in weight, circa 14th century AD, accompanied by Oxford Labs X-ray fluorescence analysis report stating the composition of the metal.
