Set centrally with an oval cornelian intaglio engraved with a stylised representation of a lion with a crucifix on its back, with alternating amuletic cross and crescent motifs to the borders, the carved scrolling shoulders proceeding to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, approximately 4.19g, circa 11th-12th century AD.
