 Description

Marquise diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a marquise shape old cut diamond, U-V range colour, VS1 clarity, with a weight of 2.20 carats in an open back claw setting, flanked with twelve round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.24 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.42 carats, to an impressive flanked solitaire design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, leading to split shoulders which terminate in ridged detail before flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #6224971615.
