 Description

Elizabethan Burmese ruby Fleur-de-lis ring. Set with five table cut natural unenhanced Burmese rubies in closed back quatre-foil settings, to an impressive fleur-de-lis design featuring intricately carved goldwork and closed backholing, leading to trumpeting shoulders with engraved circular detailing and flowing through to a flat ridged shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1575, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5783-0867.

This ring is recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme under reference KENT-08FE44 and disclaimed under the Treasure Act.
