 Description

Byzantine gold ring with cross motif. A gold ring, featuring a circular flat disk decorated with an open scrolling cross motif with an ornamental golden bead to centre, bordered by a raised circular wire, flanked by broad squared shoulders which flow down to a solid shank. Tested yellow gold, approximately 4.64 grams in weight, circa 8th-10th century AD.
