Burmese sapphire and diamond cluster earrings. A matching pair, each set to centre with one cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphire in an open back claw setting, two in total, with a combined approximate weight of 2.20 carats, each encircled by a single row of ten cushion shape old mine diamonds, in open back claw settings, twenty in total, with a combined approximate weight of 1.00 carats, to an impressive cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure post and butterfly. Tested platinum, circa 1920, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #81299-46.
