 Description

Art Deco ruby and diamond cocktail ring. Set to centre with ten square calibre cut rubies to two curving horizontal rows in open back rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.50 carats, adjacent to an arrow shape baguette cut diamond in an open back rubover setting with a weight of 0.30 carats, further flanked by a tapered baguette cut diamond in an open back rubover setting with a weight of 0.20 carats, and set with a total of twenty six round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.70 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.20 carats, to a scrolling sculptural stepped form and an openwork conforming finger gallery with cheniers, leading to a solid flat tapered heavy shank. Tested platinum, circa 1935.
