 Description

Antique diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back gold cut down setting with an approximate weight of 0.8 carats, flanked by six round rose cut diamonds in silver closed back cut down settings, with a combined weight of 0.12 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.92 carats to an intricate flanked solitaire design featuring circular ridged collets, a solid gallery with open and closed backholing, leading to carved split shoulders with a scrolling motif and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat gold and tested silver, makers mark 'DAC', indistinct hallmarks, Sweden, circa 1840.
