Chairman's Notes

René Boivin (1864-1917) was a Parisian-born jeweller, who was first a designer and engraver before establishing the House of Boivin in rue St. Anastase in 1890. René rejected the prevailing Art Nouveau style of the early twentieth century, and instead opted for chunky designers inspired by the East.
