Victorian citrine and goldbrooch. Set with two matching round old cutnatural unenhanced Madeira citrines in closed backrubover settings, to a highly detailed brooch with crescent shape decoration, with engraved floral motifs, granulation and wire work elements, suspending an articulated removable pendant drop, the reverse with an oval crystal covered plaque with scrolling hair beneath, inscribed in italic script ‘Given to C.E. Chubb by her Uncle Willder, 1866’, fitted with a secure hinge pin and hidden circular loop to top. Tested yellow gold, circa 1866.
