Vintage ruby and diamond cluster ring. Set centrally with one oval old cut natural unenhanced Siam ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 2.70 carats, encircled by ten round brilliant cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 1.00 carats, flanked by two tapered baguette cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.30 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.30 carats, to an elegant cluster design, featuring curving claws, a pierced structured gallery and shaped backholing, flanked either side by tapered trumpeting shoulders leading to a solid slim shank. Tested white gold, circa 1970, accompanied by GPL report #06023 and Gemmological Certification Services report #81287-28.
