Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring. Set to centre with a rectangular baguette cut natural unenhanced Basaltic sapphire in an open back double claw setting with an approximate weight of 2.84 carats, flanked by ten round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.30 carats, to a stylish solitaire design featuring curving claws, linear openwork gallery and fancy backholing, the raised trumpeting shoulders flowing to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, French control mark, circa 1925, accompanied by Gubelin Gemlab report #18010255.
