Description
Vintage Ceylon sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 8.14 carats, encircled by fourteen round brilliant cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.70 carats, to an impressive coronet cluster with curving claws, raised radiating gallery and open backholing, flanked by tri-split shoulders flowing through to a solid ribbed shank. Tested 18 carat white gold, circa 1970, accompanied by a Gemmological Certification Services report #78132-20.
