Description
Edwardian diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a round old cut diamond, I colour, SI1 clarity, with an approximate weight of 2.48 carats in an open back claw setting, flanked by six round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.12 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.60 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring curving claws, a finely pierced openwork gallery with foliate motifs and fancy open backholing, the trumpeting shoulders flowing though to a solid flat shank. Marked platinum, numbered '363' , circa 1910, accompanied by a Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #2233501390.
