Post medieval gold 'Variety is the Beauty of ye World' posy ring. A conforming D-shape band engraved to the interior in italic script 'Variety is the Beauty of ye World' approximately 2.5mm in width. Tested yellow gold, approximate weight 2.18 grams, maker's mark 'SH', further marked with a lion symbol, English, circa 19th century AD.
