Edwardian diamond solitaire ring. Set in the centre with a round old cut diamond, G colour, VS1 clarity, with a weight of 1.04 carats in an open back claw setting, flanked by eight round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.08 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.12 carats, to an intricately pierced circular collet with curving claws and shaped backholing, the smoothly conforming shoulders lead through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat rose gold and platinum, English, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America report #2165082987.
