Victorian turquoise and diamond clover brooch. Set with three oval cabochonnatural unenhanced turquoises in open backgrain settings, additionally set with a round star top diamond in an open back cutdown setting with a weight of 0.05 carats, surrounded by a border of forty eight round rose cutdiamonds in open back grain and cutdown settings with a combined weight of 0.50 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.55 carats, to an intricate clover design with finely pierced backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure hinged pin and scroll clasp, approximately 2.8cm in length. Tested yellow gold with silver settings, English, circa 1850.
