Victorian sapphire and diamond five stone ring. Set with three cushion shape old cutnatural unenhanced sapphires graduating in size, in open backclaw settings with a combined approximate weight of 2.80 carats, alternated by two cushion shape old minediamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.70 carats, further adorned with four cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 0.10 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.80 carats, to a stylised carved ring with curving claws, undulating ridged details to the gallery and pierced circular backholing, flanked by smoothly integrated shoulders with decorative engraving which terminates to a solid shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold, English, circa 1900, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80265-55.
