Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond, G colour, VVS2 clarity, with a weight of 1.53 carats in an open back claw setting, to a decorative solitaire design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and circular open backholing, leading to asymmetrically carved shoulders with a stylised foliate motif, and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, circa 1900, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #1435848547.
