Victorian gold mourning brooch. A mourning brooch, set to center with oval crystal covered plaque with a lock of hair decoratively curled with gold thread, surrounded by an ornate openwork yellow gold scrolling border, fitted to reverse with a secure hinged pin and a hidden circular loop to top. Tested yellow gold, circa 1840.
