Victorian five stone diamond ring. Set horizontally with five cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.05 carats, to an elegant graduating five stone design featuring stylised claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, the trumpeting shoulders with scrolling motifs flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, indistinct maker's mark, hallmarks for Chester, English, circa 1890.
