Victorian diamond solitaire carved ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.10 carats, to a low square collet with polished borders and intricately pierced backholing, flanked to either side with broad rounded shoulders featuring decorative rope carving which continues to a solid shank. Marked 18 carat gold, maker's mark 'GM', full English hallmarks for London, circa 1880.
