Victorian diamond coronet cluster ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old mine diamond, K colour, SI2 clarity with an approximate weight of 2.32 carats in an open backclaw setting, surrounded by twelve cushion shape old mine cut diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with a combined weight of 1.30 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.62 carats, to a coronet cluster form with stylised claws, polished edges, an intricately pierced openwork gallery and fancy open backholing, the trumpeting shoulders flowing through to a solid tapering shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold, engraved '1886', numbered '560', English, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #11121059036.
