Victorian diamond coronet cluster ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old mine diamond, G colour, VS2 clarity with a weight of 1.51 carats, in an open back claw setting, encircled by ten cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain and claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.60 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.11 carats, to an impressive coronet cluster featuring curving claws, a pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, leading to trumpeting shoulders with ridged detail and tapering to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, English, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (G.I.A.) report #3435890126
